Mehendi and Melodies

The space opens up for our henna artists to do mehendi for anyone who would like it. Relax and enjoy a live singer over the crashing waves, sing along and request songs, or share in the couple's joy of friendly competition with card games and board games as the night winds down before a full day of festivities.

Day Two

May 14, 2027

May 14, 2027 / 11am

Haldi

A traditional Indian ceremony that signifies healing, purification, and warding off the evil eye. However, we like to think of it as an ode to turmeric: a joyful homage to a golden yellow spice used in India for thousands of years for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties. Its place in cooking reaches back around 4,500 years, when it was used for food preservation in a hot climate. As a bonus, turmeric makes the skin glow—so get ready to smear the bride and groom with it.

Dress code
Yellow. Indian, fusion, or western.

May 14, 2027 / 4pm

Baraat

An ultra-high-energy welcome of the groom. Derived from the Sanskrit for 'groom's journey,' the baraat traditionally marked the groom traveling with friends and family to the bride's home village. As the parade neared, the whole village would be captivated by the energy, noise, and dancing. In Gen Z terms: the ultimate hype squad to gas up the rizz king. An Indian 'here comes the groom.'

May 14, 2027 / 5pm - 7pm

Wedding Ceremony

Join us for traditional Indian wedding rituals and witness Shaan and Krati tie the knot forever. Be prepared: the bride's side and groom's side must duke it out over a variety of games, including the infamous stealing of the shoes.

Dress code
Traditional or formal Indian in shades of cream: creams, ivories, vanillas, and soft warm neutrals.
